Victoria Okoro appeals for access to children in Ebonyi State

Victoria Okoro, the wife of Francis Obila and daughter-in-law to the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, has issued a public appeal regarding her separation from her two young children. Ms. Okoro stated that she has been unable to access her children since June 21, a period spanning eight weeks.

At the time of the separation, the couple’s second child was approximately three months old, and their first child was 18 months old. Ms. Okoro noted that she had previously attempted to resolve the matter privately and remained silent out of respect for the individuals involved and the hope that a peaceful resolution would be reached.

In her appeal, Ms. Okoro addressed her estranged husband and his mother, Patricia Obila, requesting immediate access to and custody of the children. She stated that she would allow one more week for a private resolution before she begins publicly sharing the circumstances surrounding the situation.
