Victoria Police offer $1 million reward for Albert Pisani cold case
Victoria Police have renewed an appeal for information regarding the 1986 disappearance and death of Albert Pisani, offering a $1 million reward for details leading to a conviction.
Albert Pisani, a 27-year-old father of five, was last seen walking on Prince Street in Moe, Victoria, on October 10, 1986. He had intended to visit a local bank before returning home to his family. While his disappearance was initially attributed to his habit of frequent road trips, police suspect foul play. His remains were discovered in a shallow grave in bushland near Driffield in June 1987.
Detective Inspector David Dunstan of the Missing Persons Squad stated that the investigation remains open, noting that Pisani’s disappearance was out of character. Investigators previously noted a possible dispute at Pisani’s workplace, the State Electricity Commission Briquette Factory in Morwell, prior to his disappearance. Despite decades of investigation and interviews with family and associates, the case remains unsolved.
