Victoria Stoiciu discusses Romanian political shifts ahead of Niculescu vote

Senator Victoria Stoiciu has addressed the political dynamics within the Romanian Parliament ahead of the upcoming investiture vote for Luca Niculescu’s cabinet. Stoiciu, who resigned from the Social Democratic Party (PSD) following a motion of censure against the Bolojan Government, stated she has no regrets regarding her departure.

She noted increasing political alignment between the PSD and the far-right AUR party within Parliament. Stoiciu suggested that a minority PSD government, potentially composed of technocrats and facing opposition from the PNL and UDMR, may require support from AUR to function.
