Victoria teen Joshua Gates remains missing in British Columbia

The family of 16-year-old Joshua Gates is renewing appeals for information regarding his disappearance. Gates, a high-risk youth from Victoria, has not been seen or heard from since July.

While his last confirmed location was reported to be in Terrace, British Columbia, on July 14, no subsequent sightings in the northern region have been confirmed. The Terrace RCMP concluded their portion of the investigation on August 20, and the case has been returned to the Victoria Police Department, where it remains active.

Joshua Gates is described as five-foot-10, approximately 141 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He may be associated with a blue Honda Civic bearing British Columbia license plate A53 7SM. His mother, Amanda Gates, is urging residents in the Terrace and Kitimat areas to report any information that could help locate him.
