Political tensions within Argentina's ruling coalition have escalated as Deputy Lilia Lemoine criticized Vice President Victoria Villarruel, labeling her "débil de carácter" (weak of character) on social media.

This public friction follows growing calls for Villarruel's resignation from high-ranking government officials. Chief of Staff Diego Santilli and Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno have expressed dissatisfaction with the Vice President's frequent criticisms of President Javier Milei and his administration.

Quirno specifically suggested that Villarruel should "step aside," arguing that since she ran on a joint ticket with the President, she should support the administration rather than making what he described as "pseudo-coupist" comments. The internal rift intensified after Villarruel expressed "genuine concern" regarding Milei's state and perceived persecutions.
