Victoriam Racing buys 50% interest in Silent Tactic for $1.5 million

Victoriam Racing has acquired a 50% interest in the three-year-old colt Silent Tactic for $1.5 million. The transaction was completed via a Fasig-Tipton Digital flash sale.

Silent Tactic, a graded stakes winner, is trained by Hall of Fame trainer Mark Casse and is owned in part by John Oxley. The colt recently finished third in the Grade 2 Jim Dandy Stakes, an effort that brought his career earnings above $1.1 million.

Silent Tactic is currently preparing for the Travers Stakes scheduled for August 29 at Saratoga. Justin Casse, agent for John Oxley, noted that while there was international interest in the horse, the decision to sell a partial interest through a digital platform proved successful with a domestic buyer.
