Victorian MPs disclose gifts including Ed Sheeran and Kylie Minogue performances

The latest register of interests for Victorian Members of Parliament, covering the period from February 1 to June 30, reveals various gifts and hospitality received by politicians.

Premier Ben Carroll disclosed receiving two tickets to the Australian Open men’s final, four tickets to Melbourne Fashion Week, and two tickets to an industry celebration at the home of Anthony Pratt. This event included a private performance by Kylie Minogue.

Other disclosures include Nationals MP Jade Benham receiving a hot-air balloon flight over the Yarra Valley, and former Premier Jacinta Allan declaring memberships to the VRC, the Virgin Club Lounge, and the Qantas Chairman’s Lounge, alongside tickets to an Essendon president’s dinner. Former tourism minister Steve Dimopoulos reported attending an Ed Sheeran concert as a guest of the AFL.

The report notes that while Carroll disclosed the Minogue performance invitation, former Premier Allan did not include the specific dinner in her register, despite reports that she and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese were in attendance.
