Victorian schools VCE performance tracked via new decade-long data tool
The Age has released the eighth edition of its ‘Schools that Excel’ series, featuring an interactive dashboard that tracks Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) results over the last decade.
The tool aggregates ten years of data from government, independent, and Catholic secondary schools across Victoria. By providing a long-term view, the dashboard allows users to determine if a school has maintained or improved its academic performance, offering more context than the single-year results typically released in December.
In addition to standard VCE performance, the tool includes data for students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs. The dashboard displays median study scores out of 50 to indicate typical student achievement, using a score of 30 as a benchmark.
