Victormanuel releases new album inspired by Atacama Desert

Musician Victormanuel has released a new album titled ‘Madrugada en las alturas’, a project deeply inspired by the landscapes, skies, and nights of the Atacama Desert. The work features a mix of compositions from various stages of his career alongside four previously unreleased songs.

The musical style draws influence from bands such as The Cure, The Smiths, and U2, characterized by prominent guitar work and melancholic atmospheres. The album's visual identity, created by Mariana Riquelme, incorporates regional elements including the Licancabur volcano, the ALMA observatory, the Tulor Village, and the chakana.

Production involved several collaborators from northern Chile, with recordings taking place in Arica alongside Cedromc and mastering completed at CatSound studio in Antofagasta. The project was produced by Nelson Castillo.
