Victorville and Hesperia report series of violent crimes and fatal incidents

The Victorville and Hesperia areas in California have experienced a series of violent incidents and criminal investigations.

In a fatal multi-car collision, two high school seniors from Sultana High School were killed when two speeding vehicles struck their Acura near Ridgecrest Road and Elmwood Drive. The driver of one involved vehicle fled the scene on foot.

Authorities are also investigating an attempted murder after a driver in a Chevrolet Tahoe intentionally struck three people, including adults and juveniles, while they were playing basketball in a residential neighborhood on Fairbanks Drive.

Other recent law enforcement activity includes a SWAT deployment in Hesperia following a pursuit of a potentially armed suspect from Victorville, a homicide investigation after a man was found dead at a bus stop on Valley Center Drive, and a robbery involving a juvenile on Cordova Road.

Investigations into several of these incidents, including the fatal crash and the vehicle assault, remain ongoing.
