Victrex shares surge following raised profit forecast
Victrex plc shares experienced a significant rally on the London Stock Exchange following an upward revision of the company’s profit forecast. The stock rose approximately 15 percent, trading near 996 pence after the announcement.
The increased guidance for pre-tax profit in the 2026 fiscal year is attributed to robust demand for high-performance polymer solutions across the automotive, aerospace, and electronics sectors. This demand has led to higher sales volumes and improved production capacity utilization.
In response to the company’s performance, Citigroup raised its price target for Victrex from GBX 700 to GBX 1,000, maintaining a “neutral” rating. Other financial institutions have also adjusted their outlooks, including JPMorgan Chase & Co., which raised its target to GBX 785, and Berenberg Bank, which increased its target to GBX 870.
