Vicuña announces 55,500-meter exploration campaign at Filo del Sol

Vicuña has announced an intensive exploration campaign in the high Andes, focusing primarily on the Filo del Sol deposit. The program involves approximately 55,500 meters of diamond drilling scheduled over the next 12 months.

The campaign will operate binationality across Argentina and Chile at altitudes between 4,500 and 5,500 meters above sea level. To manage the scale of the project, the company plans to operate up to eight drilling teams simultaneously, with some wells expected to exceed 1,500 meters in depth.

Vicuña has selected Boart Longyear Argentina and Hy-Tech Griffith Drilling Argentina to execute the works following a competitive bidding process. The program aims to expand geological knowledge of the deposit and provide technical data to support the engineering progress of the integrated project.
