Vicuña Argentina and Fundación UOCRA partner for vocational training
Vicuña Argentina and the Fundación UOCRA for the Education of Construction Workers have signed an agreement to launch the ‘Entrenamiento Base I’ training program. This initiative focuses on two modalities: trades and road machinery, aimed at strengthening technical and labor capacities for individuals interested in construction, infrastructure, and mining.
The program includes training in various fields such as civil works, electricity, plumbing, welding, metal structure assembly, and the operation of heavy equipment. Courses are scheduled to begin this October in departments near the Vicuña project.
Training for trades will consist of approximately 160 hours over two months with groups of up to 25 participants. The road machinery training will involve 120 hours with groups of up to 15. Fundación UOCRA will manage course design, pedagogical support, and competency certification, including the ‘Soy Constructor’ labor credential. Vicuña will provide training spaces, equipment for machinery practice, and general oversight.
