Vida Kovai Kings defeat Chepauk Super Gillies in TNPL match

Vida Kovai Kings defeated Chepauk Super Gillies by five wickets in a TNPL match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday. After winning the toss and electing to chase, the Kovai Kings successfully reached the target of 168.

Chepauk Super Gillies initially struggled, falling to 21/3 after early wickets from M Siddharth and Divakar. However, impact player Ram Arvindh stabilized the innings with a rapid 63 off 32 balls, supported by a quick 32 from Dinesh Raj, helping the side reach a total of 167. RS Ambrish contributed significantly to the bowling effort, taking 3/22.

In the chase, Vida Kovai Kings' top order provided a strong foundation. S Radhakrishnan (38) and S Lokeshwar (40) shared a 54-run opening partnership. B Sachin (37) also played a key role before being run out. Skipper Shahrukh Khan and RS Ambrish eventually guided the team to victory.
