Vida Serena Premier Treatment Center faces admission suspension

The 1st Civil Prosecution Office of Chapada dos Guimarães has recommended the immediate suspension of new patient admissions at the Vida Serena Premier Treatment Center. The recommendation follows a civil inquiry into the facility, which provides services for individuals with mental disorders and chemical dependency.

Technical inspections revealed several irregularities, including structural inadequacies and the performance of medical-hospital procedures that may not align with the facility's current licensing. The Regional Medical Council of Mato Grosso (CRM-MT) noted that the center conducts voluntary, involuntary, and compulsory hospitalizations.

Furthermore, the Public Ministry of Mato Grosso determined that the clinic was operating without a valid sanitary license, as its previous permit had expired. Approximately 43 patients were identified at the facility during the inspection.
