Videira wins 10 medals in Parajasc 2026 athletics

Athletes from Videira, represented by the Associação Videirense de Esporte Adaptado (Avea), secured 10 medals in the athletics segment during the first stage of the Parajasc 2026 games in Chapecó.

The medal haul includes results from various disability classes, including intellectual disability, Down syndrome, autism, and hearing impairment. Notable performances include silver medals from Daiane dos Santos in the 100 meters and Ismael Menegolla in the long jump, as well as multiple silver and bronze medals from Lucas Felipe Gonçalves de Morais and Jonathan M. Baldissarelli.

The delegation's success began with Maurício Prilla, who earned a bronze medal in the shot put, marking Videira's first podium finish in the competition. The municipality continues its participation in other modalities such as boccia, futsal, swimming, table tennis, and chess.
