Video game developers announce new horror projects and platform exclusives

The Brazilian studio Franástia Studios announced that its psychological horror game, INVERSO, has reached the final stage of the Game Dev Quest. Developed in Unity, the 2.5D title uses exploration, stealth, and environmental puzzles to symbolically address the Brazilian military dictatorship and the history of the Hospital Colônia de Barbacena. The project, which currently has a PC demo available, will be showcased at Imagineland 2026 in Paraíba.

In separate industry news, Polish developer Bloober Team has been announced as the developer of Onyx: The Dark Grip, a 2.5D exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch 2 scheduled for a 2027 release. Developed by Broken Mirror Games, a co-development studio founded by Bloober Team, the game features gameplay involving touch screen and motion controls that the protagonist perceives as supernatural interventions.
