Video game developers S-Game and Remedy announce major project updates

The video game industry is seeing significant updates from major developers. S-Game has announced that development for Phantom Blade Zero is largely complete, following a dedicated State of Play presentation. The upcoming title features martial arts star Donnie Yen, who has served as a creative and action choreography consultant since 2023. Yen’s likeness and motion capture are also used for the character Mó Yuan.

Meanwhile, Remedy Entertainment reported that Alan Wake 2 has reached a milestone of three million copies sold, providing ongoing profit for the studio. Despite recent financial fluctuations due to marketing costs and the performance of Firebreak, CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon expressed optimism regarding the upcoming release, Control Resonant. The studio is positioning the new title as a ‘must-buy on day one,’ noting it has reached 1.5 million wishlists across all platforms and will feature a competitive price point of 60 euros.
