Video game industry anticipates major releases for late 2026

The second half of 2026 is shaping up to be a significant period for the video game industry, featuring several major franchise releases and highly anticipated sequels. Key titles expected during this period include “GTA VI”, “Marvel’s Wolverine”, “Control Resonant”, and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4”.

Other notable releases include “MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls”, a fighting game developed by Arc System Works, and “Onimusha: Way of the Sword”, which marks the return of Capcom’s classic franchise after more than two decades.

In preparation for upcoming launches, Activision has confirmed that “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4” will have playable gameplay stations at the Brasil Game Show (BGS) 2026 in São Paulo. Held from October 9 to 12 at Distrito Anhembi, the event will feature 36 gameplay stations hosted by Monster Energy, offering the Latin American public a preview before the game’s official release on October 23.
