Gábor Kubatov re-elected as Ferencváros president

Gábor Kubatov has been re-elected as the president of Ferencvárosi Torna Club (FTC) for another four-year term following a general assembly at the Elek Gyula Arena. The election resulted in a nine-member board, which includes Beatrix Kökény, András Sike, Gyula Rákosi, Péter Lipcsei, József Bánki, Miklós Springer, Gábor Kucsera, and Annamária Füredi.

Following the vote, Kubatov addressed the media, stating that despite external political pressures and attacks, he remains psychologically calm and committed to the club. He expressed a desire to serve the organization and set high professional goals, including winning the Europa League.

The election took place amidst discussions regarding a government legislative proposal that could retroactively prohibit former politicians from leading sports clubs with more than 500 members. While this proposal aims to separate political and sports leadership, it does not currently prevent Kubatov's re-election.
