Videoton ownership change awaits 5 billion forint bank guarantee

Negotiations regarding the ownership change of Videoton are ongoing between the municipality and the Racing Group. Székesfehérvár Mayor András Cser-Palkovics reported that while the investor has presented all necessary legal documents required for the contract, a critical financial component remains outstanding.

The investor must provide a bank guarantee to prove they can secure the capital commitment promised in their bid for the next three years. This guarantee amounts to over 5 billion forint. The municipality will only accept the guarantee once external experts confirm it provides sufficient security for both the local government and the club.
