Vidor Centro wins 28th Palio dell’Assalto al Castello with record time

The Vidor Centro team won the 28th edition of the Palio dell’Assalto al Castello with a record-breaking time. The event was organized by the pro loco La Vidorese, the Municipality of Vidor, and the Santo Nome di Maria parish.

The weekend festivities included book presentations regarding the medieval castle of Vidor and the history of the Castle Hill after the Great War, as well as guided tours of the Abbazia di Santa Bona. The main competition day featured a mass at the Abbey, a blessing of the racing equipment, and a parade of historical figures and banners.

Local authorities, including Vidor Mayor Nicola Zandò and various regional and provincial councilors, attended the inauguration. Organizers noted that safety measures were enhanced this year, including expanded parking and road closures to protect athletes and spectators.
