Vidrala unifies Portuguese operations under Vidrala Marinha

The multinational glass packaging group Vidrala has unified its operations in Portugal under the new name ‘Vidrala Marinha’. This reorganization aims to create more agile, efficient, and competitively positioned operations for the food and beverage sectors.

The new structure involves a workforce of 900 professionals and an annual production capacity of 2.6 billion containers. By combining state-of-the-art industrial facilities, infrastructure, and logistics fleets, the company seeks to enhance its sustainability and service capabilities.

As part of this strategic integration in Marinha Grande, the former production centers Gallo Vidro and Santos Barosa have been renamed Vidrala Marinha Norte and Vidrala Marinha Sul, respectively. CEO Raúl Gómez and European General Director Víctor Tolosa noted that the move strengthens the group’s industrial project and provides greater strategic coherence for clients, suppliers, and local communities.
