Viebke & West wins 150 million DKK Danish Defence contract on Bornholm

The construction company Viebke & West has secured a maintenance and renovation contract with the Danish Defence on Bornholm. The agreement is expected to be worth approximately 150 million DKK over the next four years.

The project follows a decision by the Defence Establishment and Terrain Command (ETK) to separate Bornholm's tasks from a larger multi-billion DKK national tender into a standalone procurement process. The contract involves improving existing building stock, which may include tasks such as painting and flooring.

Viebke & West intends to establish a stronger local presence on the island by hiring new staff, including a department manager and foremen for painting and carpentry. The company aims to integrate into the local business community and collaborate with regional partners.
