Emina Jahović loses €50,000 of luxury goods in Istanbul fraud

Serbian pop star Emina Jahović was defrauded in Istanbul when a woman, identified as a Montenegrin fraudster, posed as a sales intermediary and took possession of designer clothing, handbags and shoes worth more than €50,000. Jahović had planned to sell the items and donate the proceeds to charitable causes. After receiving the goods, the fraudster blocked Jahović on all social‑media platforms and disappeared, leaving the singer without the merchandise or the expected funds. The incident was reported by local media, with Jahović confirming the loss and expressing disappointment that a charitable intention was exploited.

The case highlights the risk of online resale scams targeting high‑value personal items and the vulnerability of individuals relying on intermediaries for transactions.
