Vienna City Hall hosts 14th Volunteer Fair

The 14th Vienna Volunteer Fair is being held at the Vienna City Hall, featuring more than 100 non-profit organizations focused on areas such as environmental protection, social services, and civil protection. The event includes the ‘Young Volunteers’ (YOVO26) fair, specifically designed to inform high school and university students about engagement opportunities alongside their studies.

Participating organizations include Caritas, Amnesty International, the Vienna Red Cross, the Johanniter, and the Samaritan League Vienna. According to the current Austrian Volunteer Report, approximately 3.7 million people in Austria—about 48.2 percent of the population—engage in voluntary work. While Upper Austria has the highest volunteer rate at 52.3 percent, Vienna currently has the lowest among federal states at 42.4 percent.
