Vienna-Favoriten: Man arrested for allegedly threatening wife and children

Police in the Vienna-Favoriten district have arrested a 37-year-old man following allegations of domestic violence and death threats against his wife and minor children.

According to investigators, the man is suspected of having physically assaulted his wife multiple times during previous disagreements, as well as being physically abusive toward their children. The suspect is also alleged to have threatened to kill both his wife and the children.

Officers arrived at the residence around 9:20 PM on Tuesday, finding the wife safe in a neighbor's apartment. Although the man was not present when police first arrived, he returned to the address during the investigation. While he denied the allegations, he was provisionally arrested on-site. Authorities have issued a restraining order, a temporary weapons ban, and a prohibition on approaching the victims.
