Vienna FPÖ official calls for deportations following Halloween unrest
Stefan Berger, the security spokesperson for the Vienna FPÖ, has called for the deportation of foreign criminals following unrest in Vienna during Halloween night. The incident required the deployment of several hundred police officers, including reinforcements from six other federal states, and resulted in five preliminary arrests.
During the unrest, some business owners barricaded their storefronts to prevent looting, and one individual reportedly attacked a police vehicle with a flammable liquid. Berger noted that of the six suspects investigated in connection with calls to violence, five were third-country nationals. He criticized current security and migration policies, stating that those who violate the law must face rigorous consequences, including deportation.
