Vienna Hosts Record 150,000 Visitors to Eurovision Village
During the week of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, the Eurovision Village at Rathausplatz attracted 150,000 visitors. The surrounding venues also saw strong attendance: 97,000 people attended nine ticketed shows at the Wiener Stadthalle, 16,000 visited the EuroClub in PraterDOME, and 23,400 entered the Eurofan House at the Wien Museum.
ORF reported that the grand final reached 4.567 million viewers, representing 61 % of the Austrian TV audience, while total coverage was seen by 5.604 million people – about 74 % of Austrians aged 12 and over. Online, Eurovision-related content generated roughly 100 million social‑media views, 13 million website page impressions, and 66 million minutes of streamed video, resulting in 7 million gross views from 1.8 million unique online viewers. Bulgaria won the contest, marking its first victory.
The event demonstrated substantial public engagement both on‑site and across broadcast and digital platforms.
