Vienna order advisors conduct nearly 20,000 inspections in municipal housing
Order advisors in Vienna's municipal housing complexes have conducted significant enforcement activities during the first half of 2026. According to reported figures, the advisors performed 19,829 inspections, carried out over 21,000 clearances, and issued 1,552 administrative fines.
These advisors work to ensure compliance with house rules and the Vienna Waste Management Act (Wiener Reinhaltegesetz). Their role involves documenting irregularities, reporting pollution, and engaging in direct dialogue with residents to resolve conflicts and prevent issues. Housing Councilor Elke Hanel-Torsch emphasized that these advisors are essential for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality of life within the housing complexes, which serve hundreds of thousands of residents.
