Police investigations into various criminal incidents across Austria and Germany

Police in several regions are investigating a series of criminal incidents. In Vienna, a 21-year-old Russian national was temporarily detained following a police intervention in Floridsdorf. After neighbors reported men kicking an apartment door, officers encountered three men who claimed to be checking on a friend in a medical emergency. However, a bag of white powder fell from one suspect, leading to the discovery of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, cash, and an airsoft weapon inside the apartment.

In Linz, two 18-year-old women were arrested following a violent assault on a 63-year-old pedestrian on Landstraße, resulting in severe injuries including broken ribs. Additionally, police in Linz detained two men, a Russian and a Moldovan national, following a suspected break-in at a garden shed.

In Germany, authorities are addressing multiple reports. In Frankfurt, business owners reported significant damage and looting following riots that affected at least 20 shops. In Ludwigshafen, police are searching for four youths accused of attacking a cyclist. In Altenburg, a 34-year-old German man was detained after an intoxicated individual allegedly attacked residents and entered apartments by mistake.
