Vienna Stock Exchange ATX climbs modestly on Friday

The Austrian ATX index edged up 0.05% on Friday, closing at 6,457.92 points and marking a year‑to‑date gain of 21.25%. Leading the rally were energy group Verbund (+3.84%), Raiffeisen Bank International (+2.33%) and VIG (+2.31%). Palfinger, AT&S and Porr were the biggest decliners, falling between 1.8% and 3.1%. Trading volume was led by Erste Group, RBI and AT&S.

The ATX Prime sub‑index also rose, gaining 0.95% to 3,209.83 points and up 20.75% for the year. Top performers included Vienna Insurance (+4.47%), Verbund (+3.23%) and Rosenbauer (+2.95%). AMAG, Palfinger and Semperit posted the largest losses. Raiffeisen shares recorded the highest trade volume on the ATX Prime session.
