Vienna theater hosts Karagöz and Mozart cultural production

The LILARUM Figurentheater in Vienna is hosting a production titled ‘Karagöz ile Mozart: İki Dünya İçinde’ on December 8, 2026. The performance brings together the traditional Ottoman shadow puppet character Karagöz and the Western musical genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The production aims to create a cultural dialogue between East and West, featuring Karagöz navigating the grand halls of Vienna while Mozart explores the colorful streets of Istanbul. The show combines humor, music, puppetry, and live performance to bridge different cultural identities through the universal language of art.
