Vienna to host major culinary festivals in October 2026

Vienna will host two significant culinary events in October 2026. The Vienna Future Food Week, organized by Popchop, will run from October 1 to October 10. The festival features over 30 events, including workshops, talks, and pop-up dining, focusing on contemporary food culture, sustainability, and design. International participants such as London butcher Flora Phillips and guests from Zurich will collaborate with local Viennese establishments.

Additionally, the GENUSSWELTEN event will take place at Palais Auersperg from October 16 to 18. This three-day event focuses on specialty products and direct interaction between producers and consumers. Organizers aim to showcase high-quality foods and beverages from Austria and neighboring countries that are often difficult to find in traditional retail, offering tastings of items such as matcha, caviar, and champagne.
