Vienna traffic disrupted by vintage car parade and concert

Vienna is experiencing significant traffic disruptions due to the Vienna Classic Days event and a concert by Andrea Bocelli at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion.

As part of the Vienna Classic Days, approximately 200 historical vehicles are participating in various activities. On Saturday, a vintage car parade is scheduled to take place from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, starting from the Urania and traveling along the Ringstraße for two laps before concluding at the Prater. This parade will necessitate temporary closures of sections of the Ring and Franz-Josefs-Kai. On Sunday, vehicles will be presented near the Vienna City Hall, followed by a route through the city center ending with an ‘Oldtimer-Picknick’ in the Donaupark.

In addition to the automotive event, the Andrea Bocelli concert at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion is expected to cause further congestion. The ÖAMTC has warned of delays on the A23 and various access roads to the city center, including the Zweierlinie, Lower and Upper Donaustraße, and several other local streets. Concertgoers are advised to use the U2 subway line to avoid road delays.
