Vieste organizes seaside retreat for seniors

Twenty-eight residents over the age of 65 from Vieste will depart for a week-long seaside stay in Vieste, Puglia, starting September 1. The initiative, organized by the Department of Social Policies, aims to promote well-being, socialization, and inclusion for self-sufficient seniors through a stay at a four-star hotel with full board.

The program saw high interest, with 44 applicants for the 28 available spots. All selected participants qualify for a total exemption from payment. Mayor Maria Aida Episcopo noted the importance of the initiative for community aggregation and local knowledge, while Social Policy Councilor Simona Mendolicchio highlighted that the participants selected were those entitled to full financial exemptions.
