Vieste to host tenth edition of Oil Week festival

The tenth edition of ‘Oleocentrica – La Settimana dell’Olio’ is scheduled to take place in Vieste from August 23 to 27. The event aims to connect agriculture, high cuisine, research, and tourism by celebrating the relationship between olive oil and the Gargano territory.

Key activities include a producer's market at Marina Piccola, chef show cooking sessions, mindfulness workshops among olive trees, and professional food-and-oil pairing laboratories. The program also features scientific focuses on modern milling technology and discussions regarding international markets, such as Japan.

As part of the ‘Ercole Olivario Pop’ cycle, the event will highlight Italian olive production excellence. Specific sessions include guided tastings of award-winning table olives from the Ercole Olivario competition and discussions regarding the challenges facing extra virgin olive oil and table olives in global markets.
