Viet Hung Nguyen joins TV Nova as digital strategy director

Viet Hung Nguyen, formerly a senior manager at TV Prima, has joined competitor TV Nova in a newly created role as Director of Digital Commercial Strategy & Development. Nguyen, known in the industry as “Hungy,” officially began his tenure on July 7.

In this position, Nguyen will oversee the implementation of new advertising models for the streaming platform Oneplay. The strategy involves introducing advertising-supported tiers, potentially offering discounted subscriptions in exchange for viewership of ads. This initiative, referred to in the industry as “Onereach,” is expected to generate significant additional revenue for the PPF Group-owned station.

Additionally, Nguyen will contribute to TV Nova’s artificial intelligence team and participate in upcoming industry presentations, such as the Forum Media conference, to discuss Nova’s research and new digital products.
