VietinBank Sơn La faces inspection findings amid local infrastructure and banking updates
VietinBank Sơn La has been identified as having several shortcomings following an inspection by the State Bank of Vietnam's Regional 3 Inspectorate. While the branch generally complies with legal and internal regulations regarding management and deposit mobilization, the inspection revealed weaknesses in credit assessment, loan decision-making, collateral management, and post-loan supervision. The inspectorate noted that management and department leaders failed to maintain strict control over credit activities, and some staff members lacked a thorough understanding of internal and legal regulations.
Separately, Techcombank has announced the relocation of its Hiệp Bình Phước transaction office, which operates under the Gia Định branch. The office will move from its current location on National Highway 13 in Hiệp Bình Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, to a new address on Hiệp Bình Street within the same ward. The move is expected to take effect on October 19, 2026.
In Gia Lai, residents are calling for urgent repairs to routes DT 638 and DH 21. These roads have suffered severe damage, including potholes and subsidence, due to the heavy transport of materials for the Phù Cát Airport expansion project. Local residents report that the degraded road conditions pose significant safety risks, particularly for students on electric bicycles.
