Vietjet, Galaxy Telecom, and Starlink partner for in-flight satellite internet

Vietjet, Galaxy Telecom, and Starlink have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in New York to provide high-speed satellite internet services on 120 Vietjet aircraft.

Under the partnership model, SpaceX will provide the Starlink satellite constellation infrastructure, while Vietjet provides the aviation operating platform. Galaxy Telecom, which operates the SkyFi telecommunications brand under the Galaxy Holdings ecosystem, will serve as the solution integrator, managing the system and operating the technical Wi-Fi telecommunications infrastructure on the aircraft.

This move marks a significant expansion for SkyFi, transitioning its services from terrestrial telecommunications to aviation connectivity. Galaxy Telecom was established in 2024 and aims to build a digital connectivity ecosystem linked to aviation.
