Vietjet named Asia Low Cost/Hybrid Airline of the Year by CAPA

Vietjet has been named the Asia Low Cost/Hybrid Airline of the Year by CAPA – Centre for Aviation. The award was presented during the CAPA Airline Leader Summit Asia 2026 held in Chitose, Hokkaido, Japan.

The recognition highlights Vietjet’s transition toward a hybrid aviation model after 15 years of operation. This strategy focuses on operational efficiency and cost discipline while offering passengers diverse fare classes, services, and amenities. Key components of this model include the development of a wide-body fleet using Airbus A330 aircraft to expand international networks.

To enhance passenger experience, Vietjet announced plans to implement Starlink satellite internet connectivity across its fleet, aiming to provide seamless, high-speed connectivity for work and entertainment during flights.
