Vietjet outlines technology and investment plans for Long Thành Airport

Vietjet Deputy General Manager Tô Việt Thắng has announced plans to collaborate with international partners to advance aviation technology in Vietnam, specifically focusing on the development of the Long Thành airport area. The airline, part of the Sovico Group, is seeking to integrate smart airport technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data, to improve aviation operations.

To achieve these goals, Vietjet has engaged in discussions with major industry players such as Airbus, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, and Rolls-Royce. The company aims to attract foreign investment to develop aviation infrastructure and technology hubs near Long Thành. Additionally, Vietjet expressed optimism regarding the Asia-Pacific Aviation Finance Hub (AAFH), which was announced in collaboration with the Vietnam International Finance Center in Ho Chi Minh City, as a driver for capital market growth in the sector.
