Vietjet partners with SpaceX to provide free Starlink Wi-Fi

Vietjet has entered a strategic partnership with Elon Musk’s SpaceX to integrate Starlink satellite internet services across its entire fleet. This move aims to provide continuous, high-speed connectivity for passengers, positioning the airline alongside global carriers like Air France and Qatar Airways that utilize Starlink Aviation.

The initial phase of the deployment will focus on installing Starlink terminals on 120 aircraft. This fleet includes 100 narrow-body planes, specifically Airbus A321 and Boeing 737 models, as well as 20 wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft.

In a departure from traditional aviation internet models that often charge high fees based on time or data usage, Vietjet plans to offer Wi-Fi services completely free of charge to passengers on all domestic and international flights.
