VietJet to launch international flights from Western Sydney
VietJet, a low-cost carrier based in Vietnam, is expected to launch international services from Western Sydney International Airport. The airline is anticipated to begin offering two weekly return flights between Western Sydney and Ho Chi Minh City starting in January, increasing to three weekly return flights in March.
This move makes VietJet the third international airline to secure services at Australia's newest international airport, joining Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines. The expansion aims to meet rising demand for travel to Asia and serve diverse communities in Western Sydney. There is also speculation that the airline may provide updates regarding potential domestic services in Australia, which would increase competition against the Qantas Group and Virgin Australia.
