Vietlott, Vietnam’s state‑run electronic lottery operator, reported that more than 1.132 trillion dong in prize money was paid out in the first half of 2026, creating 79 new billion‑dong winners. The payout surge follows a record‑high revenue of 9.686 trillion dong in 2025, up 22% from the previous year and the highest since the company began operations in 2016.
Over its ten‑year history the firm has generated nearly 58 000 trillion dong in total revenue and has contributed roughly 16 000 trillion dong to the national budget. In 2025 alone, Vietlott paid out 5.342 trillion dong in winnings, including a 344 billion‑dong Power 6/55 jackpot – the largest single prize in Vietnamese lottery history. Social‑impact programmes funded by Vietlott and its partners exceeded 110 trillion dong, covering health insurance for agents, housing for low‑income families and educational projects.
The company now operates seven lottery products, more than 6 100 sales points nationwide and over four million registered online ticket purchasers, underscoring its dominant role in Vietnam’s gambling market.
