Vietnam implements new personnel regulations and leadership appointments

Vietnam is implementing several significant administrative and personnel changes. The Politburo has issued Regulation No. 212, which prohibits the appointment, transfer, or promotion of officials and party members currently under investigation or facing disciplinary action.

In terms of leadership appointments, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology has appointed Vu Thanh Mai as Vice President, while the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences has appointed Dinh Thi Mai to the same position. Additionally, Le Hai Long has been appointed as Head of the Youth and Children Work Department for the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Regarding local administration, several provinces, including Can Tho, Hai Phong, and Bac Ninh, have clarified that there are currently no official policies or plans in place for the merger of communes or wards, countering various rumors and misinformation circulating on social media.
