Vietnam accelerates digital transformation and innovation via Resolution 57

Vietnam is transitioning from strategic planning to the implementation of tangible outcomes regarding science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation under Resolution No. 57. During a briefing in Hanoi, Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the restructuring of the Central Steering Committee 57 and the National Advisory Council aims to enhance policy consultation and generate breakthrough guidelines to drive socio-economic development.

Local implementations of these policies are already underway. In Hanoi, the police have deployed digital solutions including wireless fire alarm devices, the Hanoi Smart Police application, and drones for public security surveillance. In Khanh Hoa province, priorities for 2026 through 2030 include creating centralized databases for non-communicable diseases and developing alert maps for natural disasters such as typhoons, floods, and landslides.
