Vietnam Minister of Construction inspects major highway projects

Minister of Construction Trần Hồng Minh led inspection delegations to monitor the progress of several major transportation infrastructure projects in Vietnam.

In the Tuyên Quang - Hà Giang expressway project, which spans 105km with a total investment of nearly 10,000 billion VND, construction is underway across all 15 packages in the Tuyên Quang section and 9 packages in the Hà Giang section. Land clearance has been completed for both segments, and contractors have been urged to accelerate work to take advantage of favorable weather.

Additionally, the inspection covered the expansion of National Highway 2 for the Vĩnh Yên - Việt Trì section. This 11.06km project has a total investment of approximately 1,258 billion VND. While land clearance has reached 99.91%, officials noted challenges regarding coordination between investors, contractors, and local authorities, as well as delays in utilizing handed-over sites.
