Vietnam accelerates venture‑capital financing and AI‑driven communications to spur innovation
Vietnam’s Party and State have made science, technology and innovation central to a goal of double‑digit economic growth for 2026‑2030. Politburo Resolution No. 57‑NQ/TW, adopted in December 2024, calls for mobilising financial resources, strengthening digital infrastructure and fostering data‑driven governance. A December 2024 decree on venture‑capital funds opens participation to state and private investors, foreign venture firms and corporations, encouraging capital to flow into startups and emerging technology projects. Officials highlighted growing foreign VC presence, with firms such as Argor Capital already investing in Vietnamese tech ventures.
At the same time, the resolution frames AI, social media and multi‑platform communication as pillars of corporate transformation. Companies are shifting from one‑way product promotion to reputation‑centric models, using AI to draft releases, create visual content and analyse public sentiment within minutes. Industry leaders stress that trust has become a form of capital, and that rapid digital diffusion can turn a single incident into a large‑scale reputational crisis. The combined policy push aims to make Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem more transparent, competitive and globally integrated.
