Vietnam advances agricultural modernization through digital skills and trade connectivity

Efforts to modernize Vietnam's agricultural sector are focusing on digital skill acquisition, vocational training, and enhanced trade connectivity. In various regions, Farmers' Unions are implementing solutions to provide technical knowledge and digital skills to help farmers adapt to the digital transformation era. Training programs have covered topics such as soil improvement, crop productivity, safe harvesting techniques, and the use of biological products in livestock to create circular production zones.

In Ho Chi Minh City, local authorities in Tan Thanh and Binh Dong wards held a trade connection conference to bridge the gap between producers and markets. Officials emphasized that modern agricultural development must move beyond traditional methods by integrating science, technology, and new management practices. A key strategy discussed was attaching products to the unique stories of their land, people, and culture to create brand differentiation. Leaders called for long-term supply-demand relationships between cooperatives, businesses, and distribution systems rather than short-term sales events.
